Central Florida Fair Competition
I've never been in a cake competition before. I found out about the Central Florida Fair at the very last
minute and I decided to do it. I had only five days to do this cake in a week that I already had 11 weddings to
do. Sometimes your passion can make you do crazy things! I didn't know what I wanted, but I knew I wanted something
different. I decided on a Tuscan design. I was entering the wedding division and wanted a cake
that was tall and made a big impression, yet being my first competition, I didn't know what was best. It
was an interesting ride. I will post more photos in my "News and Info." page. Next year, I want to invite my students
to participate in the competition. It is a good way to push yourself. There are different divisions: Amateurs, Youth, Professionals,
etc. I took the Tuscan to the fair Sunday afternoon after my 11-Wedding-Cake week. On the following Saturday night,
I went to the fair with my family and was so excited when I saw 2 ribbons. I had won First Prize in the Wedding Cake Division and
Best In Show. I never expected the second one! I hope you can join this competition next year!... Press
the photo to link you to the Central Florida Fair Page were you can find more cake photos of the competition. Edna
